DPIIT stands for Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. This certification body grants the No Objection Certificate for the products that are out of Purview of BIS Standard Specification and also from the Ministry of Steel (considered under SIMS 2.0 approval portal)
NOC is granted to the importer firm having registered IEC in India.
Thee NOC obtained from DPIIT are for the products which are Out of Purview of BIS Certification due to varying Chemistry, Mechanical Properties etc.and also out of the purview of Ministry of Steel (covered under SIMS 2.0 Registration).
The NOC is granted for each consignment irrespective of the Consignment Size, Invoice Value and the Cost of production/selling. One NOC refers to the validity of 60 days and subjected to the applicability of the specific consignment applied for the same.
1. Prepare the requisite documents

3. The Technical Committee is appointed inclusive of BIS officials from the Concerned Department and also the Ministry officials.
4. Scrutiny by Competent Authority
5. Grant of NOC Letter

Submit the information and documents to the competent authority through mail Channel at the respective concerned officials4. Wait for the scrutiny by the Dealing Officer from the Concerned Ministry5. Grant of NOC Letter

9. Copy of International Standard
