What is CRS Registration?

Bureau of Indian Standards, abbreviated as BIS is the regulatory body under the department of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Foods and Public Distribution governed by the Government of India, which grants the License to the product(s) conforming the requirements as mentioned under Indian Standard Specification.

It ensures the quality conformance of the products which are ensured by the specific categories mentioned as Indian Standard (also known as IS Numbers).

For Electronic and IT Equipments, BIS grants the license to the products and allows them to use BIS Standard Mark (also known as CRS Mark) over the licensed products as per the specific Indian Standard(s).

For the Domestic Manufacturing as well as the Manufacturing outside India, the process is considered under Scheme-II or Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS)
