H. Resolution of the Query(ies) raised by the applicant over the BIS Portal
I. Nomination of the Inspection Officer by the Branch Office
J. Preliminary Inspection by nominated Inspection Officer to verify the details submitted in the application.
K. Sealing of the Samples by BIS to be sent and tested in BIS approved laboratory for Independent Testing
L. Completion of the Test and Submission of Test Report by the laboratory over the BIS portal directly to BIS
M. Grant of License, in case the Report is complete and in compliance to the test parameters as per the stated Indian Standard
Under the Simplified Procedure the application process is stated as below:
A. Preparation of the documentation as per the requirement of BIS norms.
B. Arrangement of the requisite areas as per BIS guidelines.
C. Procurement of the In-House Testing Laboratory inside the Factory Premises
D. Submission of the Samples directly by the applicant to the BIS approved laboratory as per the quantity required under the stated Indian Standard.
E. Receipt of the Test Report over BIS Portal.
F. Submission of the application through Online Portal
G. Nomination of Dealing Officer from the nearest BIS Branch Office
H. Scrutiny by Dealing Officer under Desk Evaluation
I. Information over the application for queries, if any, over the Communication Window to the applicant
J. Resolution of the Query(ies) raised by the applicant over the BIS Portal
K. Nomination of the Inspection Officer by the Branch Office
L. Preliminary Inspection by nominated Inspection Officer to verify the details submitted in the application
M. Sealing of the Samples by BIS to be sent and tested in BIS approved laboratory for Independent Testing
N. Grant of License on the basis of the Initial Testing done by the applicant in BIS approved laboratory.
O. Completion of the Parallel Test and Submission of Test Report by theThird-PartyLaboratory over the BIS portal directly to BIS.
The documents needed for ISI certification in India require a factory license and company registration proof, product test reports from a BIS-recognized lab, manufacturing process details, a quality control plan, raw material details, a machinery list, and authorized signatory identity documents.
1. Company Establishment Legal Documents (such as Certificate of Incorporation, GST, Udyam Aadhaar, Factory License etc.)
2. Authorised Signatory details such as PAN Card, Contact number, Mail ID, Designation etc.
3. Location of the factory from the nearest Railway Station (Google Coordinates preferred)
4. Layout Plan of the Factory highlighting major areas such as Office Area, Production Area, Storage Area for Raw Materials and Finished Goods, In-House Testing Laboratory Area etc.)
5. List of complete manufacturing Machinery
6. List of Raw Material with Supplier's Information and Test Certificates
7. Complete In-House Test Equipment details with Calibration Certificates
8. Complete Manufacturing Process Flow Description
9. Quality Control Personnel Details such as Appointment Letter, Qualification Certificate, ID Proof, Passport Sized Photograph, Experience (in Years) in the applicant's Firm
10. In-House Test Report for the Product as per the Indian Standard Specification
